Transition into primary care roles and grow your primary care skills
The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill’s Primary Care RN Certificate is online and self-paced, helping you continue to balance work, life, and your career.
The certificate is designed to prepare a Registered Nurse to work in a primary care or an ambulatory care setting. It is also designed as a continuing professional development course for a Registered Nurse currently working in primary care. According to the Centers for Disease Control, “The National Illness Prevention Strategy is a plan that helps increase the number of Americans who are healthy at every stage of life.”
Programs and services that were previously managed by the Friday Center for Continuing Education are now part of UNC-Chapel Hill Digital and Lifelong Learning (DLL), the University’s dedicated resource for digital, flexible, and nontraditional learning.
Program Requirements: For registered nurses who have passed the NCLEX exam and have been licensed in the United States.
